β Hi Reader! I am extremely fussy when it comes to scones. They have to be moist, flavorful and taste just as great the next day. I've been on a bit of a bakery bender this year, visiting them wherever I go. If you live on the central coast of California, I cannot recommend the croissants at Bread Bike in San Luis Obispo enough. Truly transcendent. Perfection. The individual Chicken Pot Pies from Macrina Bakery in Seattle? I crave them (and made my own version if we're interested π). The Passion Fruit-Mango Pavlova from Mademoiselle Collette'sβBEYOND. I reckon I can't seem to find a scone that makes me feel this way. Oh, wait, I had one with Becky from Baking the Goods! We went to Scout Coffee and had a cherry marzipan one that was delish...actually, everything we ate there was delicious. That was an exceedingly long journey to making the point that I'm picky when it comes to scones.π I've decided to update all of my scone recipes because, damnit, they're fabulous. I'm saying this in the least humble way possible. These tender, moist, utterly perfect Raspberry Scones just got new photos! Weights! And I hope you'll make them stat. They are great with just a simple egg wash and a sprinkling of Demerara or sparkling sugar. And if you'd like to get jazzy, the vanilla bean glaze or lemon glaze are both show stoppers. Should you go out and get the heavy whipping cream and cake flour that you probably don't have in your kitchen for these? Yes, yes you should. Scroll below the scone photo for more holiday baked recipes! Cheers to a fabulous week! β
