The Perfect Raspberry Scones πŸ‡ Holiday Baking Favorites

Hi Reader!

I am extremely fussy when it comes to scones. They have to be moist, flavorful and taste just as great the next day.

I've been on a bit of a bakery bender this year, visiting them wherever I go. If you live on the central coast of California, I cannot recommend the croissants at Bread Bike in San Luis Obispo enough. Truly transcendent. Perfection.

The individual Chicken Pot Pies from Macrina Bakery in Seattle? I crave them (and made my own version if we're interested πŸ‘€).

The Passion Fruit-Mango Pavlova from Mademoiselle Collette's–BEYOND.

I reckon I can't seem to find a scone that makes me feel this way. Oh, wait, I had one with Becky from Baking the Goods! We went to Scout Coffee and had a cherry marzipan one that was delish...actually, everything we ate there was delicious.

That was an exceedingly long journey to making the point that I'm picky when it comes to scones.πŸ˜‚

I've decided to update all of my scone recipes because, damnit, they're fabulous. I'm saying this in the least humble way possible.

These tender, moist, utterly perfect Raspberry Scones just got new photos! Weights! And I hope you'll make them stat.

They are great with just a simple egg wash and a sprinkling of Demerara or sparkling sugar. And if you'd like to get jazzy, the vanilla bean glaze or lemon glaze are both show stoppers.

Should you go out and get the heavy whipping cream and cake flour that you probably don't have in your kitchen for these? Yes, yes you should.

Scroll below the scone photo for more holiday baked recipes!

Cheers to a fabulous week!

Lemon Meringue
Chiffon Cake

Three components: the perfect chiffon cake (the texture!), sunny lemon curd and toasted meringue. Could a dessert be more perfect?

Fresh Raspberry
Cream Scones

I just recently updated the photos for this post and I can confirm, these scones are PERFECTION. See Notes below the recipe for make-ahead options.

Fluffy Raspberry Lemon Loaf Cake

Lemon zest in the cake batter and a sweet-tart lemon glaze over the top. This is another recipe I recently updated and it's even better than I remember!

Chocolate Pavlova with Whipped Cream & Berries

Another recipe that I love to make for Easter! My whipped cream recipe has instructions to stabilize your whipped cream so you can make it ahead of time. Use any berries you'd like!

Fresh Strawberry
Cream Scones

Tender cream scones studded with fresh macerated strawberries. This recipe has an optional strawberry glaze that is divine. Didn't know I was the kinda person to call things divine, but here we are.

Fresh Raspberry Shortbread Bars

It's a cookie, but also an elegant dessert? All. The. Things. Bright, juicy berries, my favorite blonde streusel and the perfect shortbread crust.

My Favorite
Blueberry Muffins

These Perfect Easy Blueberry Muffins are a cozy classic with just 12 basic ingredients, no fancy ingredients, no crazy technique, but HELLA delicious flavor. They're SUPERRRRR moist, loaded with juicy blueberries and the most tender crumb.

Raspberry Streusel Muffins

The yummiest one-bowl (ish) Easy Raspberry Muffins start with a moist sour cream muffin batter that is loaded with lemon and bursting with fresh raspberries (frozen raspberries can be used too!).

Tropical Pineapple
Coconut Cake

Super fluffy, moist coconut cake with a pineapple soak and refreshing coconut cream cheese frosting – you will love what (I think) is The Most Delicious Tropical Pineapple Cake Recipe! It’s one, one-bowl cake that is cut in half for two layers; so easy.

Chocolate Cake with Malted Buttercream

This Moist-Single Layer Chocolate Guinness Cake is a beautiful chocolate layer cake that comes together effortlessly. Topped with a creamy (and equally dreamy) 5-Minute Chocolate Malt Buttercream, this simple-to-throw-together cake is a dazzler.

Perfect Sugar Cookies

My favorite Sugar Cookie recipe! My three favorite glazes to use: vanilla glaze, strawberry glaze and lemon glaze. Use the low end of cream/milk in the glaze recipes for the perfect cookie icing!

Brownie Meringue Cake

This cake is just so easy, so pretty and damn delicious! It's perfect with a handful of malted Easter eggs thrown over the top and served with vanilla ice cream...or whipped cream. You'll dazzle!

When done right they're an effortless way to elevate your mornings whilst hopefully padding around the kitchen still in your pjs and fluffy socks. Good afternoon Reader! Happy Friday! If I don't love the way a recipe looks then I typically don't promote it much...which was the case with this Raspberry Lemon Loaf Cake. So I updated the photos and the entire blog post and I'm in love with it all over again! As you can see from the photos, the crumb is light, fluffy and perfectly moist. It's loaded with fresh raspberries and lemon zest, and then covered in a lemony lemon glaze. In a word, perfect. I made some minor edits to the recipe: a...
