Hi Reader! Happy Saturday! I've got the perfect cookie for you to bake this weekend! Yay us. Inspired by the hubbub around Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies made with Milk Powder, I made us one with malted milk powder. And I daresay she's a masterpiece. With malted milk powder, brown butter, dark brown sugar and an ample pour of vanilla, these cookies are delicious. The texture is crispy around the edges and soft and gooey in the center. Some quick substitution notes: *You can use malted milk powder or regular milk powder. Both will intensify the caramel notes of the cookie. The former will just add, well, a maltiness to it all. *You can sub in light brown sugar if that's what you have on hand. Ok. Get to it. Love this cookie and can't wait to hear your thoughts. I am on a cookie bender and already have two more in the works. As always, send me your cravings and recipe requests. I love to hear your ideas. Cheers to a happy weekend!

Good afternoon Reader! I am a muffin baker through and through. I feel about muffins the same way I do about scones...and cookies...and so many other delicious things we bake. When done right they're an effortless way to elevate your mornings whilst hopefully padding around the kitchen still in your pjs and fluffy socks. Last spring Stella took me to Cafe Solstice in Seattle and we ate the yummiest Blackberry Streusel Muffins. I'm talking A++. I promptly flew home and made these Raspberry...
Hi Reader! I am extremely fussy when it comes to scones. They have to be moist, flavorful and taste just as great the next day. I've been on a bit of a bakery bender this year, visiting them wherever I go. If you live on the central coast of California, I cannot recommend the croissants at Bread Bike in San Luis Obispo enough. Truly transcendent. Perfection. The individual Chicken Pot Pies from Macrina Bakery in Seattle? I crave them (and made my own version if we're interested 👀). The...
