Ready, Set, Bake! Your Summer Berry Guide is Here! πŸŽ‰

Happy Wednesday Reader!

Welcome to our Summer Farmer's Market Series! I love a farmer's market haul (so much), and this week the focus is on berries πŸ«πŸ“! Right now, our markets are bursting with juicy strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, boysenberries, olallieberries (my fav!) and marionberries.

Below are a few of my favorite berry recipes (drinks, salads, sweet treats) to make with all of this goodness right now!

In un-berry related news... Yesterday I tossed one diced ripe avocado with one diced yellow mango (both are SO GOOD right now) and squeezed half a lime over the top. I scooped it up with these gluten-free Crunchmaster crackers that I am obsessed with. It was the PERFECT snack.

I've also made this Pinch of Yum Chopped Thai-Inspired Salad TWICE this month -- it's heaven. Toss with the dressing as you serve it, and the greens will last for days in your fridge. I used Napa cabbage, and don't sleep on adding the mango (I'm on a mango πŸ₯ bender).

Enjoy your berry bakes and let me know which is your favorite!

Your comments and star ratings mean everything to me! And they help others find the most popular recipes, so thank you! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Happy baking!

Here's my secret for baking with berries: I almost always swap 'em out interchangeably! Got big, juicy boysenberries but the recipe calls for blueberries? Just give 'em a little chop to match the size. Easy peasy, berry delicious!

Strawberry Freekah Salad with Pistachio-Crusted Goat Cheese

This salad has so much goodness! Ripe avocados, charred corn, figs, microgreens and pistachio-crusted goat cheese balls are not to be missed!

Fresh Raspberry Scones

Yes, we're turning on the oven, but in return you get this gorgeousness for breakfast! I love my scones, and I want you to love them too. That's all.

πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ³ Baking Pro Tip #2

Here's a little secret for happy berry bakes: make sure your berries are totally dry before they hit your dough or batter! If they're too wet, that extra moisture can make the surrounding dough a little tricky to bake through. A dry berry means perfectly baked deliciousness every time!

Blackberry-Lemon Vodka Cooler

Smash blackberries, lemon juice, mint, and simple syrup in a mason jar. Then, cover it with ice, vodka, and some soda water. It's the drink of summer! This drink makes me miss my chickens! πŸ“

"These were yummy with Easter bI made this on Monday and, because it was magical perfection, I am making it again on Sunday for my DIL’s birthday. I don’t typically like icing but this was fluffy yummy goodness. Easy to make; stored in fridge overnight since there was a little left and it was fine (and completely gone!) the next day!!"

Blueberry Lemon Bread

What's summer without a berry-studded loaf cake?

πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ³ Baking Pro Tip #3

Want your berries to last forever (or, you know, a really long time)? Give 'em a quick bath!

Grab a big bowl, fill it with cold water, and add about a tablespoon of white vinegar. Pop your berries in for 5 minutes (fragile raspberries only need a minute or two!). Rinse 'em super well, then let them chill out on a clean towel until totally dry. Stash them in an airtight container, separated by paper towels, and voilΓ ! Long-lasting berry bliss!

Happy Sunday Reader! Marshmallow + chocolate is another one of my favorite flavor combinations and these cookies deliver! Several years ago I started working on this cookie and I wasn't dazzled with how it was turning out and so I just dropped it. You can bake them straight away, but the real magic in this cookie dough comes when you give it an overnight...

Hi Reader! A fun twist on classic macaroons! This foolproof recipe whips up the most perfect coconut macaroons. We then dip them in rich, dark chocolate (to balance the sweetness!) and finish with a festive coating of finely crushed candy canes. The best part?
