Happy Wednesday Reader! We worked on so many technical and unsexy ๐ website things over the summer that I won't bother you with the minutia. *BUT* I would like to share two new features on the website that I think you'll like! The first feature is Saved Recipes. You can create an account on DisplacedHousewife (you'll have the option to use your Google login or create a unique login for DH). This way you can save all of the recipes you love and want to bake in one easy spot. And second, we have Emailing Recipes. I have a folder in my email originally called 'Recipes' and I email myself recipes all of the time. It's great to browse through saved recipe when you're looking for inspo or just want to remember something delicious. See below for details on how to do both! I'm also sharing the Top Five Saved Recipes this month, scroll down to see! ๐๐ผ I hope your day is aces!! Rebecca xo PS As always, when we add new features we welcome your feedback!! Just hit reply and let us know your thoughts! ๐ There are two ways to Save Recipes to your own personal account. Click the ๐คSAVE button (the middle button in the photo above) and it will prompt you to sign in (using either your Google login or you can create a new login specific to DisplacedHousewife, whichever floats your boat). It will then save the recipe for you. You can also click the pink & white heart on the far right of the web page (see above) and it will likewise prompt you to sign into your account to save the recipe. To Retrieve your Saved Recipes, simply click the pink looking glass icon (just below the heart in the above image) and your user name will appear in the upper right-hand corner of the web page (or it will ask you to sign in), click on that and you'll see all of your saved recipes! In the top third of every recipe will be a pink box like the one above. โ๐ป Add your email and it will send you the recipe so you'll have it for future reference. I'm thinking I need to create email sub-folders for the months of the year so that every September, I can easily grab my seasonal favorites.๐ If you have any questions on either of these features, please send them my way! Now let's get to the fun stuff...some of you have already been saving recipes!

Hi Reader! I wanted to send this recipe out on a Wednesday so you'd have time to get your madeleine pans for this weekend (if you don't already have some!). If youโve ever struggled to get that iconic "hump" on your Madeleines, I have the 4-step solution for you: A cold batter, a hot oven, chilled madeleine pan and an overnight rest (not in this order!). Why these are fab: The "Moisture Seal": Half are dipped in dark chocolate and half in a fresh strawberry glaze. The coating traps the...
Hi Reader! 'Tis the season for the most fabulous cake we could ever ask for! Picture this: a breezy, one-bowl chocolate cake made with Guinness (or any malted beer). The crumb is light and bouncy, and the flavor is rich and chocolaty. This 9-inch (23-cm) round cake is mixed and baked in just 45 minutes (!!). Top it with my favorite 5-minute chocolate malt frosting, and itโs the perfect treat for March. Honestly, I make this cake year-round because itโs the perfect celebration cakeโor simply a...
