β Happy Wednesday Reader! We worked on so many technical and unsexy π website things over the summer that I won't bother you with the minutia. *BUT* I would like to share two new features on the website that I think you'll like! The first feature is Saved Recipes. You can create an account on DisplacedHousewife (you'll have the option to use your Google login or create a unique login for DH). This way you can save all of the recipes you love and want to bake in one easy spot. And second, we have Emailing Recipes. I have a folder in my email originally called 'Recipes' and I email myself recipes all of the time. It's great to browse through saved recipe when you're looking for inspo or just want to remember something delicious. See below for details on how to do both! I'm also sharing the Top Five Saved Recipes this month, scroll down to see! ππΌ I hope your day is aces!! Rebecca xo PS As always, when we add new features we welcome your feedback!! Just hit reply and let us know your thoughts! π There are two ways to Save Recipes to your own personal account. Click the π€SAVE button (the middle button in the photo above) and it will prompt you to sign in (using either your Google login or you can create a new login specific to DisplacedHousewife, whichever floats your boat). It will then save the recipe for you. You can also click the pink & white heart on the far right of the web page (see above) and it will likewise prompt you to sign into your account to save the recipe. To Retrieve your Saved Recipes, simply click the pink looking glass icon (just below the heart in the above image) and your user name will appear in the upper right-hand corner of the web page (or it will ask you to sign in), click on that and you'll see all of your saved recipes! In the top third of every recipe will be a pink box like the one above. βπ» Add your email and it will send you the recipe so you'll have it for future reference. I'm thinking I need to create email sub-folders for the months of the year so that every September, I can easily grab my seasonal favorites.π If you have any questions on either of these features, please send them my way! Now let's get to the fun stuff...some of you have already been saving recipes!

Join me for all things sweet including lots of cookies (my fav!), brown butter, chocolate, caramel, cakes and more! I love treats ranging from quickie weeknight cravings to fun, weekend baking projects. xo
Hi Reader! An easy breezy shortbread crust is covered in cranberry jam (so simple, takes about 30 minutes) and then topped with my favorite blonde streusel that's jazzed up with orange zest, vanilla bean and sliced almonds. I'm not sure you can find a holiday cookie that screams holiday louder than this one! All three components of this recipe (the crust, jam and streusel) can be made ahead of time and stored separately in the fridge for several days. Assemble and bake the day you want to...
Hi Reader! This cookie was, no joke, the sleeper hit of holiday cookie recipe testing. EVERYONE, loved this cookie! These cranberry orange sugar cookies taste like the marriage between the texture of a snickerdoodle (pillowy!) and the flavor of a sugar cookie (butter rich! delicious!). All of that great texture and flavor is then layered with orange zest, fresh orange juice and plump tart dried cranberries. Just yum. Period. You know the drill: she's one bowl, no chill, travels like a dream...
Hi Reader! One of my absolute favorite cookies that I want everyone to make this holiday season! This cookie first appeared in The Cookie Book in 2018, went to every book signing and it wins over even anti-molasses cookie people (they're out there π). The Pancake Princess did a Best Ginger Molasses Cookie Bake Off and these cookies won! ππ₯Ή You'll start off by making my favorite burnt sugar (aka hard caramel) and then fold the crushed caramel into the molasses cookie dough. The hard caramel...
